Many of us attended last weekends ARRL State Convention in Lincoln.  I know I saw KCØWA, KØYNE, WDØAVL, KAØDBK, KCØICK and KD7YUW. If I missed anyone, let me know. We were well represented at the event.

I have to give the Lincoln Amateur Radio Club a big round of applause, they have done a great job the last couple of years sponsoring the event.

There seemed to be a great turnout and the flea market looked to be bigger then it was last year.  They had several high quality commercial vendors there also.

I attended a couple of the forums and they were of course top notch.

We also made contact with the GIARC president Stan NØYXV and discussed several ways that we could work together to promote Amateur Radio in the central part of the state.  We look forward to working with GIARC and all of the clubs in the area during the coming months.

During the last forum of the day ARAN was presented with a certificate recognizing it's 50 years of service to the community and Amateur Radio.  We had lots of positive feed back on our efforts and the recognition was appreciated.

Allen Harpham KBØASQ was appointed to a position of Assistant Director for the ARRL Midwest Division by Cliff Ahrens - KØCA along with several others in the state.  It's a advisory position mainly, so I am look forward to getting input from area Amateurs so that I can forward it on the the ARRL.

If anyone else would like to share their comments on the convention, please feel free to post them as replies to this post.
